How social anxiety shows up

Maybe it looks like this

Social anxiety usually manifests itself in many different ways. Here are three of them.

  • You can't pick up the phone.

It doesn't matter who's calling. Answering means having to think on the spot and that's exactly what feels impossible right now. So you don't. You deal with the guilt afterward.

  • You can't think of what to say.

The moment attention turns to you, your mind empties. Whatever you had prepared is gone. You force out something, hear how it lands, and want to leave the room.

  • You can't stop replaying it.

After a conversation, your brain runs the loop for days: what you said, how you sounded, what they must have thought. Before the next one, the loop starts again.

Or it looks like this

  • A plan you cancel at the last minute

And you're beating yourself up over it.

  • A conversation that stalls

And something in you immediately takes the blame.

  • The escape to the bathroom

Just to avoid a social interaction.

  • That bad feeling

That the people around you are secretly judging you.

If any of this feels familiar, there may be a reason it keeps happening, even when you know, rationally, that you are safe.

Why trying harder rarely works

Social anxiety doesn't live in your thoughts

You’ve probably tried the standard advice. You’ve read the books. You’ve worked on reframing your thoughts. You’ve pushed yourself into feared situations. This approach rarely produces lasting change. That isn’t a matter of effort. It’s a matter of aiming at the wrong layer.

Social anxiety lives in your nervous system. In old moments your body still carries as if they were happening now.

Picture a table

The tabletop is the symptom. It’s the phone you don’t pick up. It’s the presentation you dread days before it happens.

The legs are what hold it up. They are small, old moments from your life you’d probably never call trauma. Maybe a teacher once singled you out. Maybe a group stopped inviting you. Nothing about them was dramatic. But they stay with you.

The usual approach pushes down on the tabletop with willpower and exposure. Sometimes it comes down. But the legs are still there. It springs back.

This course doesn’t push. It removes the legs. One at a time.

The tool: EFT

The tool for this is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). You bring a specific memory to mind, and while you do that, you tap on a set of points on your hand, face, and chest. The same points acupressure has used for thousands of years, and that have been studied at places like Stanford.

The combination releases the emotion attached to that specific old moment. The memory stays. The charge is gone.

And because the moments carrying your anxiety often share similar themes, each release does more than just clear one memory. The work compounds.

The path

How the course is built

The course has four steps that build on each other. You work through them in your own time. Every step comes with clear guidance and video demonstrations.

  • Step 1

    Emergency tools

Before you work on the structure underneath the anxiety, you need something for the moment itself. You learn three simple methods you can use anywhere when anxiety rises.
  • Step 2

    Getting comfortable with EFT

If a part of you doesn't believe this can work, it can slow down the work that follows. In this step, you clear the most common doubts about EFT before the real work begins.
  • Step 3

    Releasing specific memories

This is the core work. You go through the specific moments underneath your social anxiety and release their emotional charge one at a time. For many people, the anxiety is much quieter or fully gone after this step.
  • Step 4

    Clearing deeper beliefs

Some layers only become clear once the louder moments are gone. This step clears what's left and gives you the ground for lasting social confidence.
Format

What this looks like day to day

So you know what you’re signing up for.

  • ~30 minutes a day

You work alone, at home. The course is built for self-study. No live sessions, no groups, no appointments.
  • First shifts in one to two weeks

You don't need months of belief. Most people notice a shift within the first one to two weeks.
  • No confrontation

You won't be sent into feared situations. The work happens in your mind and body.
Important Note

Who this course is for

Social Anxiety Reset is for people with social anxiety who are looking for a self-guided path who want to do the work at home, at their own pace, without being sent into feared situations.

It's not the right place if:

  • you have a diagnosed mental health condition.
  • your history includes severe trauma (e.g. abuse, war, or sustained physical violence).

In these cases, working with heavy memories on your own carries risks that aren’t worth taking. Please find a professional to work with first.

About me

I know where you are right now

Hi, I’m Mirco Grande.

As a child, I was open and cheerful. But certain experiences in my early years, both physical and emotional, made me pull back from people. There was rejection. There was bullying at school. Over the years, that turned into a quiet belief that I didn’t quite belong, that people weren’t safe, that I was better off less visible.

The process was so gradual I didn’t recognize it as social anxiety myself. I just thought that’s how I am. By my early thirties, I was spending every day just getting through it. Being outside was uncomfortable. Work was worse.

Then it all caught up with me. I collapsed at work, resigned, and sat alone at home that evening. That night, I came across Sebastiaan van der Schrier’s work. His approach reached something in me I hadn’t felt before. That was the beginning of real change.

Today I’m free of social anxiety. I live a life I couldn’t have imagined ten years ago.

This course is built on what healed me. It’s not built on theory. I know how it feels where you are. And I want you to hear this. You’re going to be okay.

Common questions

What people often ask

No. Skepticism is completely fine. Many of the people for whom the method works most strongly started out doubting it. The way it works is physical. It doesn’t depend on you being convinced. What matters is that you apply the method consistently.

For most people, the first noticeable shift shows up within one to two weeks. You handle a conversation you would have found impossible before. How long the full release takes depends on how deep the anxiety sits. Consistency matters more than speed.

No. I’m not a therapist, and this course isn’t therapy. It’s a self-guided way to work with a method that helps you clear the old emotional charge from specific memories. If you’re in treatment or have a diagnosed mental health condition, please talk to your provider first.

No. The course asks nothing of you that you’re not ready for. You work with memories at home, not in the situation itself. Confrontation and exposure therapy are explicitly not part of this approach.

Tapping itself is calming while it releases the charge. Most people find the process much less unpleasant than they expected. You only work with what you’re ready for. If a memory turns out to be too strong, you can set it aside for now. For severe trauma, this course isn’t the right place (see “Who this course is for”).

No. The course explains everything from the ground up. You learn what EFT is, where the points are, and how to build a round.

Social Anxiety Reset is based on Gary Craig’s Gold Standard EFT and points directly at social anxiety. Instead of a general introduction to EFT, you get a structured path built for this one thing.

No. After purchase, you have lifetime access to all content and all future updates.

No. The course is deliberately built for you to work on your own. There’s no pressure to show up and no scheduled times. If you have a question along the way, you can reach me directly by email.

You can email me anytime. I read every message personally.

You can use a laptop, tablet, or phone. For the videos, I recommend headphones. Worksheets can be filled in on screen or printed.
